I recently posted an article on Active Rain. A very popular real estate resource site. The article was a tutorial on using multiple flash and Photoshop layers masks to create an exceptional marketing image of a home.
Now the article was written for the real estate agent and real estate photographer to help hone their photography skills. Let me assure you the above shot could not be created with an iphone or a point and shoot camera. It could only be created with professional level photography techniques. I am sharing this post so you can see the amount of work that goes into the marketing of a sellers home through exceptional real estate photography.
Quality Real Estate Photography Makes a Difference
Today’s real estate buyer is much different then 10 or 15 years ago. Today’s home buyer has access to every home that is available to them at their fingertips. They are no longer completely reliant on a real estate agent to provide them with homes for sale they may like. The buyer now has direct access to all the inventory. Today’s home buyer is picking the homes they want to see based on the online presentation. When looking at a list of house that fit a home buyers criteria, about 60-70% of their decision to view a home is based on the quality of the real estate photography they see. A recent study tracking the eye movement of home buyers shows that real estate photography makes a difference in capturing a home buyers attention.
So to wrap this up, I don’t think as a home seller you care about my photography technique. But as a home seller I think you should care about the level of photography your agent provides you and you can see I am dedicated to providing the best marketing of your home. I can provide a home seller an exceptional online marketing package that produces results….. starting with real estate photography that makes a difference.
