Annisquam Massachusetts is a small waterfront community in Gloucester MA. It is primarily a residential area with a few small businesses. Annisquam is located on a small piece of land between the Annisquam River and the Ipswich Bay. Annisquam typifies the rocky New England coast and stands for “top of the rock” in the Algonquin language. The most notable part of Annisquam is the Annisquam Harbor Light, marking the eastern part of the Ipswich Harbor.
